Executive Director: Gwen Vekved    

With direction and guidance from the Leadership Board, the FASD Network Executive Director Leads the development, enhancement, and coordination of the FASD Network. This role ensures the Northwest Region is active in provincial discussions and research related to FASD services. This role manages service contracts held throughout the Northwest Region. If you have any questions about services offered by the NW Peace FASD Network,  or how your agency can apply to receive funding from the Network contact the Network Director.

FASD Diagnostic Clinic Coordinator:  Michelle Perron       

The Clinical Coordinator leads a multi-disciplinary team in ensuring FASD Assessment and Diagnostic Services meet required standards. The mobile clinic serves the entire NW region, with clinics in Peace River, Grande Prairie, Grande Cache, and High Prairie. For questions about the diagnostic process or to make a referral, please contact the Michelle the clinic coordinator. She is very knowledgeable about the diagnostic process. This service is offered free of charge

FASD Prevention Conversation Facilitator: Gloria Stewart

This unique initiative aims to increase FASD awareness and prevention in NW Alberta. Our new Prevention Facilitator educates frontline workers on various aspects of FASD and participates in the FASD Prevention Conversation. She engages women about alcohol use during pregnancy in a shame-free manner. Gloria brings valuable knowledge and a fresh perspective to the NW Peace FASD Network’s efforts in FASD awareness. FASD Community Resource Advocate: Lindsay Kelley    

This supporting role is vital in providing information, referrals, and access to services for clients diagnosed or suspected of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). She collaborates closely with the Northwest FASD Diagnostic team and supports clients and families throughout the diagnostic process, linking them with community-based support. For inquiries about community resources or services for individuals suspected or diagnosed with FASD, please contact Lindsay. She has extensive knowledge and can effectively connect families with essential resources.

Operations Manager: Meghan Grzanich

A Special introduction to our new Operations Manager at NW Peace FASD Network- March 2025

This role plays a pivotal role in supporting agency teams by managing reporting and contract commitments, while also providing mentoring and oversight on safety and health for the Northwest Peace team. Additionally, this position is responsible for aiding FASD funded contractors in their quarterly and bi-annual reporting requirements.

Instructional FASD Coach: Jen Duperron- Trydal  

The WRaP 2.0 FASD Coaching Partnership Project is now available to all school authorities across Alberta provided by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Education.  This FASD coaching program was developed in a collaborative process between education stakeholders and FASD Service Networks. 

The FASD Instructional Coach will incorporate FASD best practices to facilitate ongoing professional development for teachers and education staff, meeting the diverse learning needs of students with FASD.

The FASD Instructional Coach for the region, Jen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. She has been employed with Northwest Peace FASD Network since 2014.

Diagnostic Clinic Support

For support with our Diagnostic Clinic we have hired Joanne Woodworth. She comes from an extensive background in program management and administration. This role involves essential administrative support for referral, assessment and waitlist processes. Welcome Joanne !

Finance Coordinator : Dawn Peppard

Dawn is the primary finance contact for the Network, supporting the financial operations of funded community agencies and core staff. She assists with financial and contract reporting, provides guidance on submissions and compliance, and is available to answer questions on finance and budgeting, directing you to the appropriate resources as needed. Her expertise ensures transparency, and accountability in all financial matters.
